Dr. Wallace Wong, Registered Psychologist
Dr. Wallace Wong is a registered psychologist who has been dedicated to counselling children and parents for over 15 years. Dr. Wong’s work includes providing therapy to individuals, and parents as well as providing psychoeducational assessments. He has long history of working with adolescents in a community psychology setting. These clients have come to Dr. Wong with a wide background of experiences, for example: anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, and issues of identity.
Dr. Wong is pleased to partner with Sand Story Psychology Services to offer full psychoeducational assessments for children, youth and adults who speak English as a second language. Dr. Wong is able to offer these assessments in Mandarin or Cantonese. Dr. Wong provides comprehensive reports that are culturally sensitive and are practical for all educational settings. Dr. Wong is also able to provide assessment reports necessary for immigration purposes. He uses his extensive experience as a therapist and assessor to provide comprehensive assessment reports that reflect the spirit of the child or person being assessed. These assessments are used in all different contexts: Learning Disability Diagnosis; Giftedness; University Admission; Private School Admission; IQ Testing; Immigration.
Dr. Wong has specialized training in the area of Gender-Identity Disorder. Dr. Wong has been trained in wide range of approaches in this area, and is able to provide clinical service to families. Dr. Wong is an author of a children’s book, presenter, and clinician. He continues his work in community psychology and enjoys presenting both locally and internationally. Dr. Wong is an experienced clinician who is passionate about his work. He brings warmth, kindness, and humour to all that he does.
