Dr. Shahin Sanaei
Dr. Sanaei holds a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology and provides psychoeducational assessments for individuals of all ages, as well as individual therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and couples therapy. He completed his doctoral residency with a focus on child and family clinical training, gaining extensive experience supporting clients across diverse developmental and cultural backgrounds.
Dr. Sanaei uses a personalized, evidence-based approach to therapy, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed, play and art-informed therapy, and experiential therapy. His practice is trauma-informed, compassionate, and client-centred, emphasizing collaboration and empowerment through an attachment lens.
Dr. Sanaei earned his doctorate at Adler University, where his research examined the impact of acculturation and socio-cultural factors on Iranian women’s mental health. His clinical and research background continues to inform his sensitive, culturally responsive approach to assessment and therapy.
